The East Perth Metropolitan District consists of the following suburbs:

East Perth, Perth, Northbridge, Leederville, North Perth, Mt Hawthorn, Coolbinia, Joondanna, Yokine, Dianella, Mirrabooka, Koondoola, Marangaroo, Madeley, Darch, Landsdale, Cullacarbardee, Whiteman, Alexander Heights, Malaga, Noranda, Morley, Embleton, Bayswater, Maylands, Bedford, Mt Lawley and Inglewood.

Southern Border

The district is bound by the Swan River on its southern border from the Narrows bridge Perth to the Tonkin Highway bridge Bayswater.

Eastern Border

The boundary then travels north west on Tonkin Highway to the Guildford Road intersection where it heads north east to the City of Bayswater and Town of Bassendean border. It then follows the City of Bayswater boundary north to Benara Road where it travel west to Beechboro Road North.  Heading north to Marshall Road, the border then moves directly east along the southern border of Whiteman Park which is again encompassed as it travels north to the corner of Lord Street and Gnangara Road.

Northern Border

The border then travels directly west along Gnangara Road with Whiteman Park to the south and Gnangara Pine Plantation to the North until it reaches Wanneroo Road.
 
Western Border

Moving south to Marangaroo Drive, it then heads east along Marangaroo Drive until Mirrabooka Ave whereby it travels directly south until it reaches Mirrabooka SHS and then splits the border of Dianella and Nollamara through to Morley Drive. Travelling west along Morley Drive until it rejoins Wanneroo Road it then moves South until the border of Tuart Hill and Joondanna and directly west to the Osborne Park border until it reaches the City of Stirling and Town of Vincent border.  It then heads west to the Mitchell Freeway which it follows south to the Narrows bridge.
