Round 10 Preview
It is an early start for the League against Peel in our Round 10 clash. Forecast to be a blustery, rainy day the Royals will be looking to make it back to back wins after our first bye for the year.
Co-Captain Kyle Anderson and Paul Johnson will be looking to put their mark on the match after being selected in the 41 man WA squad.
Steven Payne is on his way to recapturing his FD Book Medal winning form of 2014 winning plenty of ball from the winning. Tom Barrass is having an outstanding season down back and will look to continue on from his near perfect outing in defence last week. Shayne Hille had his best game of the season to date last week winning 22 disposals and chipping in with 2 goals.
In trying conditions the game will be won with accurate kicking and numbers around the ball.
The Reserves will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing fade out against Swans last week. Will Maginness’ road back to full fitness is tracking nicely and will continue to build his minutes and impose his presence on games.
Our youngest Royals will be looking to help coach Adam Pickering cap off a big week with a win on Saturday. Adam and his wife Lauren welcomed a son earlier in the week. We wish the Colts and the Pickering family well.
