Monday, February 13, 2017 - 9:08 AM

East Perth's Annual General Meeting was held on Sunday the 12th of February in the East Perth Members Bar at Leederville Oval. The meeting was attended by over 100 members including former President and Hall of Fame inductee Laurie Kennedy and games record holder Craig Wulff.

President Bronte Howson spoke of the trials of the rollercoaster 2016 season. Through the many ups and downs around the club Mr Howson was pleased to announce a profit of $314,159 for the year ending 31st of October 2016. The Club is pleased to be in such a strong financial position, which will hold East Perth in good stead with the environment of football in Western Australia changing.

Head Coach Luke Webster addressed the members in a stirring speech about what it means for him to lead the Royals in 2017. Webster spoke of instilling further pride in the playing group when they pull on the famous black and blue. Luke also spoke of allowing the players to have greater say in their game.

CEO Dean Turner took the opportunity to revisit two of our 2010 Life Members Luke Webster and Craig Wulff and officially present them with their Life Member badges.

The club also presented 1975 Sandover Medallist Alan Quartermaine and Alan Munachen with Life Membership.

It was announced that East Perth will have Co-Captains in 2017, with Kyle Anderson and Pat McGinnity to lead our young squad.

The Club would like to thank all the Members who attended and stayed for fellowship afterwards.
