2018 WAFL Talent Carnival
Emerging young footballers are being put to the test in this year's WA Football League talent carnival which kicked off Tuesday, September 25.
The carnival, conducted between the nine WAFL Clubs, will see under 14s and 15s compete in three games.
The carnival helps introduce players to the talent pathway and emphasises the fundamentals of the game in a competitive match-day environment.
The under 15s group will also get the opportunity to showcase their ability in front of the under 16s State Academy selectors for 2019.
WA Football Commission Talent Pathway Manager Michael Ablett said the carnival provides development opportunity for players, coaches and umpires.
“Players are able to test themselves against the best emerging young footballers in a competitive match-day environment and in doing so, prepare for progression through to the next sage stage of the talent pathway,” Ablett said.
“Every individual has the opportunity to develop and display their talent, leadership and resilience.”
