Job Opportunity - Reserves Head Coach
Our 2019 Reserves Coach Craig Hayden has regretfully had to resign as our Reserves Coach due to work commitments
As a result, applications are open for the position of Reserves Head Coach at the East Perth Football Club for the 2020 WAFL season.
The East Perth Football Club has successfully come out its first season as a standalone club in the WAFL competition and is looking for a high performance individual capable of taking the club to the next level. We pride ourselves on the development and promotion of our young footballers and a continued focus on personal development both on and off the field.
The East Perth Football Club is currently seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified applicants for the above position.
As the Reserves Head Coach, you will be responsible for overseeing the clubs Reserve side during the week and on match days. You will be required to work closely with League Head Coach (Jeremy Barnard) and all other members of the senior program.
Your relationship with the Senior Coach will be vital in helping to identify opportunities for improvement in individual players. You will work closely with the player and individual line coaches to get the best outcome. Feedback and direct communication with players is critical to succeeding in this role.
You will also be encouraged to continue to develop all aspects of your coaching in a supportive, developing environment and also be challenged to succeed.
Suitable applicants must possess:
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to lead and influence.
• Understand talented athlete identification.
• Demonstrate structured and sequential planning within a football season.
• Strong knowledge of coaching techniques and strategies.
• Understanding of skill development learning strategies.
• Understanding of the Talent Pathway
• Ability to use vision to educate and instruct players and coaches.
• Minimum Level 2 Coach Accreditation
