East Perth face Williamstown in Foxtel Cup Semi Final
EAST Perth will face VFL side Williamstown in the Foxtel Cup tomorrow night at Patersons Stadium with a place in the Grand Final at stake.
Williamstown are currently fourth on the VFL ladder, with an 8-4 record. While, the Royals have a 10-2 record.
The Royals qualified for the semi final following their 50-point thumping of reigning SANFL premiers Norwood in late May. While Williamstown also had a huge 45-point win over Aspley at the MCG a week earlier.
Williamstown will fly into Perth on the back of some good form having recorded their biggest win of the season, thumping the Casey Scorpions by 80 points at Casey Fields on Saturday.
It was a record breaking day for the Seagulls, who kept Casey to their lowest ever score against Williamstown.
The win sees the Seagulls sitting in fourth position on the VFL ladder, just half a game behind ladder leaders and Hawthorn affiliate, Box Hill.
East Perth have won their last eight (including the Foxtel Cup first round win against Norwood) and following Swan Districts’ loss on Saturday to Claremont, the Royals are now outright on top of the WAFL ladder after Round 14.
Williamstown have had success at the Foxtel Cup before, having beaten East Perth on their way to win the inaugural grand final against Claremont in 2011.
Final teams will be released tonight and will be available here.
Bounce down is from 6:35pm at Patersons Stadium.
