Banquet Auction Success

Over 330 people attended the East Perth Banquet Auction Night on the 13^th of August 2015 at the magnificent Fraser’s Kings Park. It was the first year the Club has made the Auction available online allowing all members, supporters and sponsors to take part in bidding on over 200 items. The night was an overwhelming success, with the club raising a WAFL record of in excess of $204,000 through the generosity of everyone who participated and attended the night.

WA’s best auctioneer Tiny Holly was outstanding on the mic and as always not only auctions the items but is the entertainment as well. Late inclusion Russell Woolf did a great job at such short notice as Master of Ceremonies. David Christison was professional as ever doing the items justice helping Tiny throughout the Auction. The Club would like to acknowledge these three men who ensured the success of the night.

Special thanks to Chris Taylor and the team at Fraser’s for all their help with the venue and catering needs as well as our event naming rights partner Crown Lager, through Carlton United Brewery and West Cape Howe Winery who sponsored the beverages for all the guests. Also thank you to our volunteers and staff who helped throughout the night in a variety of ways. Thank you also to Ty Hopes and the team at GalaBid who provided the online platform for the Auction.

The funds of the Auction will go into strengthening our junior development programs, continued upgrading of our player and training facilities as well as our member and supporter amenities.
