Prelim Preview East Perth vs West Perth
Our well-travelled Royals will head to Joondalup on Sunday to battle it out with the Old Enemy West Perth for a place in the 2015 McDonalds WAFL Grand Final. Preliminary Finals are always hard fought contests and this Derby Prelim promises to be a special one.
The Royals have won 7 of their last 8 matches including a 4 point win against the Falcons in Round 19. East Perth also have key players in form at the right time of year. Co-Captain Brendan Lee collected a game high 35 disposals against Peel.
Vice-Captain Kyle Anderson has been the General in the backline and has been ably supported throughout the season by Mitch Fraser and Garry Moss.
Despite losing to Subiaco last weekend the Falcons will enter the game full of confidence having home ground advantage. It has been a long road to the Prelim for West Perth with this match being their 11th straight week.
The bounce down for the Preliminary Final at HBF Arena is 2.10pm and will be broadcast on television by Channel 7, and on radio by 720 ABC Perth, 91.3 SportFM and KIX Digital.
This game will also see Craig Wulff equal Derek Chadwick's club record of 269 games for the Royals.
The Reserves and Colts Preliminary Finals will also be played at HBF Arena on Sunday, with Subiaco facing Swan Districts in the Reserves, and Swan Districts taking on Peel Thunder in the Colts.
