Reserves Coach Appointed
East Perth is pleased to announce that Luke Dwyer has been appointed as our Reserves Coach for 2016. Luke joins League coach Jaymie Graham and Colts coach Adam Pickering to complete our head coach setup.
It is an enormously exciting appointment for the Royals. As a player Luke played 144 games at East Perth and Claremont over an 11 year career. Recently he has headed up the football program at Christchurch Grammer whilst teaching at the school and has also lead University to 5 consecutive Grand Final appearances and having won successive A-Grade amateur premierships in 2014 and 2015.
East Perth Football Operations Manager Mark Winnett said “As a football club we are extremely pleased to welcome Luke back to the club as our Reserves Coach for next season, we know Luke will be a tremendous fit and will be an asset for our young and developing players in our senior squad. Luke’s background as a former WAFL player, teacher at Christchurch and also as a highly successful coach with A grade powerhouse University AFC in recent years will hold him in good stead to be able to handle the transition into our WAFL program”
“I am also very pleased we have been able to secure three high quality coaches for our League, Reserves and Colts roles for 2016 and look forward to the ongoing development of our clubs players under the guidance of Jaymie, Luke and Adam and their team of assistant coaches who have all been appointed in the lead up to pre-season training program commencing on Monday evening”
The Royals begin pre-season training on Monday the 16th of November.
