East Perth outstayed Claremont in a hard fought Elimination Final on Sunday winning 13.15 (93) to 9.7 (61). The game spoke volumes for the Leagues decision to move to a top 5 finals system with both teams showing they were deserved of September action. It was a very even contest throughout the day with East Perth taking a 5 point advantage into the 4th quarter. A strong wind and fresher legs saw the Royals keep Read More [+]

Royals remain focused
If Saturday’s showdown against the minor premiers is anything to go by, it was certainly a tasty sample for what’s to come in the finals. Subiaco finished the day on top, and the season on top after a testing 9.14 (67) to 9.9 (63) win over the Royals. The loss for East Perth hasn’t affected their position on the ladder with a home game elimination final locked in for Sunday afternoon against Claremont. The Tigers scraped into the final five in another appetising round 23 match at HBF Arena where they came from behind to spoil West Perth’s perfect 10 home game triumphs.
2015 WAFL Grand Final Tickets
TICKETS are now on sale for the 2015 Macca’s WAFL Grand Final at Domain Stadium, with prices reduced from 2014 and a brand new Holden Cruze Equip up for grabs thanks to WAFL broadcast partner AHG for anyone who pre-purchases a ticket*.
Adult, Child and Concession ticket prices have been reduced by $5 a ticket and family passes discounted by $10 for this year’s Grand Final. Children under 5 years still receive free entry, while a concession for WAFL club members has also been retained.
Royals rumble as finals footy looms
More than 46,000 WAFL fans tuned into Channel Seven’s round 21 telecast, which East Perth won by a convincing 32-points over an insipid Peel Thunder. The win springs East Perth into third spot behind Subiaco and West Perth, and caps off a solid five game winning streak ahead of this weekend’s bye.
Tom Lamb opened the account for East Perth on Sunday, kicking back-to-back goals within three minutes of each other. It was a dominant start from a fired up Royals side who managed to keep Peel to just four behinds in the first quarter. Co-captains Brendan Lee and Craig Wulff worked seamlessly in attack to help put East Perth ahead by 20 points at quarter time.
Banquet Auction Success
Over 330 people attended the East Perth Banquet Auction Night on the 13th of August 2015 at the magnificent Fraser’s Kings Park. It was the first year the Club has made the Auction available online allowing all members, supporters and sponsors to take part in bidding on over 200 items. The night was an overwhelming success, with the club raising a WAFL record of in excess of $204,000 through the generosity of everyone who participated and attended the night.
Royals Continue to Relish
More than 1,400 people braved the hail, rain and wet weather in Leederville to witness another enthralling game of football for the “Count Me In” clash between East Perth and Claremont. The Royals didn’t disappoint, beating the Tigers by ten points in another show stopping finish. The win means East Perth hold onto fourth spot and live to fight another week in the race towards the finals.

Royal Flush
East Perth had a field day on Sunday afternoon winning all three grades infront of a 3,000 strong crowd at Medibank Stadium. Teenager Tom Lamb kicked the winning goal in the final minute of the match to seal the victory for the mighty Royals. East Perth now move to outright fourth on the ladder and look promising for a final five finish. The win for the Reserves means they maintain fifth spot on the table and are two wins clear of Claremont in sixth. The Colts boys also pulled off a hard-fought win, but they face an uphill battle if they're to make a bid for the finals. It has been a topsy turvy season for East Perth, but they are gaining momentum at a pivotal point in the competition. It will be a testing run home, however a win against Claremont this weekend should provide some desireable breathing space for the Royals.
