Results: Round 8
Despite having the better of South Fremantle for three quarters, it was the Royals who were left to rue an eight goal to nil final term by the Bulldogs.
With the aid of the breeze, South Fremantle pushed away from their opponents, to run out 22-point – 13.7 (85) to 9.9 (63) – winners.
Jackson Ramsay continued his outstanding 2020 form to finish with 28 disposals, (19 of those contested), 10 tackles and six inside 50s, while Jayden Magro kicked three goals.
In the Reserves, Aaron Ballantyne’s group were challenged, but ultimately secured a six-point victory over South Fremantle. The win means the Reserves will finish the home and away season undefeated, with a bye this week, ahead of finals. Meanwhile, East Perth’s Colts side secured its second victory of 2020, with a seven-point win.
East Perth will return to Leederville Oval to face Peel Thunder in the final home and away round of the 2020 Optus WAFL Season on Saturday.
