Micale Appointed Director of Coaching
The East Perth Football Club is pleased to announce that triple Premiership Coach Tony Micale has accepted the position of Director of Coaching.
Tony, who was Head Coach of East Perth from 2000-2002 and again 2010-2012, has worked in a variety of development roles within the WAFC over the past decade as well as playing a key role in the success of various Stephen Michael Foundation programs.
The key objectives of this role will be to mentor and set development plans for coaches across all East Perth teams from the League side to our Male and Female Talent programs, review and consult on game plan strategy created by Coach Jeremy Barnard and senior coaching staff as well as set a standard of behavior to shape club culture.
‘It is terrific to have Tony back at the Royals’ CEO Dean Turner commented.
‘His (Micale’s) involvement with the WAFC and commentating duties over the past decade, means we would be hard pressed to find someone who currently has better knowledge of WAFL football and the Talent coming through, which is ideal for this newly created position at the Club.’
Micale will continue his commentating duties on SportFM 91.3 as well as his role at the Stephen Michael Foundation
