Johnson Wins 2nd FD Book Medal

Paul Johnson has won his 2nd FD Book medal in 4 years finishing with 66 votes, 7 votes ahead of born again backman Garry Moss. 

Affectionately known as ‘Tower’ the East Perth ruckman had another stellar year as our 1st choice ruckman. Johnson averaged 17 disposals, 5 marks and an impressive 32.5 hit outs per game in 2015. Paul also represented WA for the 3rd time.

Sam Sloss was born in Horsham, Victoria on 15 March 1891, the son of Othel and Eliza Sloss. The family moved over to W.A. during the gold rush (about 1895) and they had several children born in Coolgardie before moving to Perth in about 1905.

Young East Perth player Thomas Shanahan has taken out the Prendergast Medal as the best and fairest player in the 2015 WAFL Reserves competition.

East Perth’s Stan Wright has been awarded the 2015 RediMed Colts Jack Clarke Medal with a total of 42 votes. Wright finished nine votes ahead of West Perth’s Clint Hinchliffe on 33, while Peel Thunder’s Keegan Power came third with 31 votes during the medal count dinner at Domain Stadium.
